WWE Survivor Series 2017 Preview And Predictions

Welcome one and all to my preview and predictions blog for Sunday nights dual branded "Survivor Series" live special. "Survivor Series" is one of my favourite events of the year and this one is proving to be one of the better ones in recent history. For once there is more than one "Survivor Series" rules matches and the theme of rivalry has been heavily pushed this year. The great thing with this event is that a lot of the roster can get a chance to shine due to the nature of the matches. As always if you have anything to add or feel like telling me I'm wrong leave a comment below of follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. I would probably think another match will be added to the pre show card due to the fact that it's a two hour pre show but nothing has been confimed.

1. WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Enzo Amore (C) Vs. Kalisto: Another month and yet again the "Cruiserweight division" are on the Pre show. "205 Live" has had some pretty decent matches as of late, the "Tornado" tag match from this weeks episode is proof of how great the division can actually be. This match on the other hand will be nothing more for an excuse to keep the belt on Enzo for another month. I'm really not expecting too much from this one. I think Enzo will retain with a little help from the "Zo Train".

2. The Miz Vs. Baron Corbin: This is a match that brings together two "Superstars" that might have never met in a match however, due to them both being champions they are thrown together in the battle for brand supremacy. This had a pretty decent build up with both me exchanging words on social media. This could prove to be a landmark moment for Corbins young career if the match meets expectations. This should be a great opener with the "Miztorage" playing an important part in helping The Miz coming out with the win.

3. Team RAW Vs. Team Smackdown Live Women's Match: I'm really looking to this match. Both brands have really strong women's divisions with the likes of Asuka, Sasha Banks and Bayley shoring up "RAW" and Becky Lynch and Naomi being stand outs of the "Smackdown Live" team. I love the mix of talent involved however, I feel "RAW" has the stronger of the two teams. I think this match will prove as a showcase for the talents of the undefeated "Empress Of Tomorrow" and I hardly see her losing her first match in this environment. I expect a win for team "RAW" and Asuka to be the sole survivor.

4. Alexa Bliss Vs. Charlotte Flair: This could prove to the ultimate showcase match for these two. At another time of the year this could have easily been a headline match at "Wrestlemania". This match wasn't even a possibility until this week due to Charlotte winning the "Smackdown Live" women's championship match on the last episode of the show before "Survivor Series". I feel a little bad for Natalya as I would have loved to see her face off against Alexa Bliss and hopefully there might be future opportunities for her. This will be a "Match Of The Year" candidate no doubt. I think Alexa will come out on top perhaps setting up a rematch at the upcoming "Starrcade" event.

5. The Shield Vs. The New Day: The return of "The Shield" was a little short lived with the illness of Roman Reigns that has slowed their momentum slightly. I'm interested to see this match as both teams have been two of the most successful factions in the modern era. This match has been set up pretty well, selling the "Under Siege" theme of "Survivor Series" this year. This should be a highly entertaining match with some great combinations throughout. I'm not too sure how this one will turn out but, if I'd hazard a guess I think that "Super Roman" and his mates might come out with the win.

6. Cesaro And Sheamus Vs. The Usos: This match is another example of how crazy the build up to "Survivor Series" has been this year. Up until two weeks ago Cesaro and Sheamus weren't even on the event and now they are part of an interesting match between The Usos. Sheamus and Cesaro are proving to be an incredible team on a roster of great teams, you simply need to look at the fact that Gallows and Anderson haven't been near the top of the division since "Wrestlemania" to prove my point. The Usos are a team I've never really been a huge fan of, turning them heel has payed off exponentially as their "painted good guy" gimmick was dull and simply a way of selling merch to kids. This could steal the spotlight from the "Survivor Series" men's match with both teams having great showings of late. I think "The Bar" will come out with the win.

7. Team RAW Vs. Team Smackdown Live Men's Match: This match has to be one of the most star studded main event matches in recent times. On team "RAW" there is the draw of legends such as Kurt Angle and the newly returned Triple H as well as under rated talent like Finn Balor and Samoa Joe as well as the "Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman. On team "Smackdown Live" Shane McMahon leads a pretty incredible team of John Cena, Randy Orton and two men who must be in line for a shot at AJ Styles, Bobby Roode and Shinsuke Nakamura. This will be an amazing match that may over shadow the main event. There are so many elements that could come into play but, I could see the unity of both teams breaking down. Not too sure how this one will go but, I would like to see team blue come out with the win.

8. Brock Lesnar Vs. AJ Styles: This match was built so well for Jinder Mahal and out of nowhere AJ Styles came into to set up a dream match up with Brock Lesnar, who is still only working when he wants. I really want to jump on the Lesnar bandwagon as I was a huge fan of his first run in the "WWE" but, I just can't he clearly doesn't care enough to commit to the company or work more than a few dates a year. I'm told over and over it makes the "Universal Championship" more prestigious but, I just feel that "RAW" being the top show requires a champion that works more than 10 days a year. AJ Styles is more than deserving as "Smackdown Live" champion and I'm glad that management went with this match instead of Jinder. the result will always be the same as Brock Lesnar can't be beaten by anyone expect Goldberg and especially not by someone smaller than him.
