WWE No Mercy 2017 Preview And Predictions

Welcome one and all to my preview and prediction blog for the "RAW" exclusive "WWE" live special, "No Mercy". This is the first live special since "Summerslam" so there has been a lot of time to build this event and it shows. As always if you have anything to say leave a comment below or by following me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Please also retweet and share my blog around.

As I mentioned "No Mercy" is a "RAW" exclusive event and is the first "RAW" live special I have been excited to watch in a while. As always I will write about each match in no particular order and the pre show match has yet to be announced either. There are a few superstars I'm surprised to see missing from the final card, namely The Hardy Boyz,, Goldust and R Truth.

1.WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Neville (C) Vs. Enzo Amore: I get it, "205 Live" and the Cruiserweight experiment is running out of steam. In order to inject a little more enthusiasm Enzo Amore has been placed within the division to bring a bit more character to it. The issue I have is that "205 Live" has been pretty good of late with talents like Akira Tozawa Cedric Alexander, Jack Gallagher, Brian Kendrick and Drew Gulak being entertaining enough. the problem is that the division has been lost in the shuffle of "more important" story lines on "RAW". That being said this match should be entertaining enough and hopefully won't be relegated to the pre show. I would like to see Neville will dominate throughout the match but, I can't see how squashing Enzo will do the division any good. This should be back and forth with Neville retaining to continue this feud.

2.WWE Intercontinental Championship: The Miz (C) Vs. Jason Jordan: To say the discovery of Jason Jordan being Kurt Angle's illegitimate son came out of left field is an understatement. I can see why it was done, Jordan has been on the cusp for a few years and has in ring skills for days, he was just lacking a story line to build off of. The Miz has been on the run of his career for a while now, I would dare to say this is even better than his run with the "WWE" championship. He is a perfect heel, garnering a reaction from start to finish. I've never been the biggest fan of The Miz but, I have been swayed slightly in recent times. I think this will be a decent enough match with the "Miztorage" getting involved just to further Miz's heel credibility and allowing him to retain.

3. Finn Balor Vs. Bray Wyatt: This has been a great little feud, hopefully pushing both up the ladder a little and showing what both can do with a little more exposure. I have said it once and I will say it again Wyatt is one hell of a character and deserves a lot more T.V time. Balor has been a little lukewarm since his return from injury but, it's not his fault. The problem with the overall "RAW"      show is that despite the three hour run time it still feels rushed. This should be as good if not better as their match at "Summerslam" with some great spots. I'm not too sure who will come out on top but, I could see Wyatt coming out on top to make a rubber match for the next "RAW" live special.

4. RAW Tag Team Championship: Seth Rollins And Dean Ambrose (C) Vs. Sheamus And Cesaro: This has been a great feud from the very beginning showing that this top tier talents can do great things with the spot they have been given. The match these four had at "Summerslam" proves just how under rated each one of these four are and, like some of the other matches, shows how over stuffed and stretched "RAW" is with talent. This should be a highlight match. I think there might be a little controversy in the finish perhaps, with the Hardyz influencing the winner.

5. RAW Women's Championship Fatal 5 Way: Alexa Bliss (C) Vs. Sasha Banks Vs. Emma Vs. Bayley Vs. Nia Jax: This match has become a little bit farcical with constant additions to the match again proving that "RAW" has a little bit of a surplus of talent. Each one of the competitors are more than deserving of their spot in the main event however, throwing everyone into the mix can lead to a stinker of a match. Hopefully this isn't the case. This should be an interesting enough match with a lot of factors influencing the outcome. I think that Bayley might turn on Sasha, why else would they rush her back. I think Alexa might retain however, I wouldn't be surprised if either Sasha or Bayley win and take the championship into their feud.

6. John Cena Vs. Roman Reigns:  This is apparently a "Dream" match that everyone wants to see. Whilst both have their merits this match doesn't really appeal to me. Some would argue that this match should have been the main event and a few years ago it would have been but, now this is nothing more than a way to get the kids viewing figures up. I will say that the pas the couple of weeks have been interesting with both men cutting some of their best promo work in a while. Depending on whether "Big match John" is staying around for a while I would say a Roman win would benefit a rematch but, if he's going away a clean win over Reigns wouldn't harm either man.

7. WWE Universal Championship: Brock Lesnar (C) Vs. Braun Strowman: Strowman has, in my opinion, made the best of his gifts. He is an incredible "monster" character and has managed to turn around a mediocre henchman gimmick into a main event player in less than two years. Brock Lesnar has done a great job in making himself utterly unlikeable. This match hasn't been built in a way where for once either man could feesably come out on top. Brock has been sold as unbeatable for 3 years or so until Strowman dominated him at "Summerslam". Will Strowman win the Universal Championship ? Probably not but, what the audience will be given is one hell of a fight.
