Shameless Promotion Part 4: Lore Podcast

Welcome one and all to a newish feature that I will hopefully writing on a regular basis; Shameless Promotion. In my previous posts I have spoken about Smodcast Network, Raleigh Ritchie and Rabbit In Red Lounge Clothing.
The premise of this feature on this section of my blog is to write and promote something I enjoy and believe that all of you should check out. There are no limits to what I will write about in this feature movie to music, website to podcast, app to clothing company and so on. Before I start I would ask for all of you to get involved by contacting my either in the comment section or by following me on social media which you can do by following the links on the right hand side of the page. I would also ask if you have a band, film, website or anything else of interest you would like me to talk about then please contact me. And finally before I begin I will also mention that I am not being paid or bribed to promote anything, I really believe that what I talk about will interest all of you readers.
In this part of Shameless Promotion I will talk about one of my favourite podcasts of the moment: "Lore". I discovered this podcast by accident when it appeared in a suggested listen on the podcast home page and I'm really glad I chose to subscribe as I've now become obbsessed with catching up on all of the previous episodes. "Lore" is a short form audio podcast hosted by Aaron Mahnke and features horrifying and spooky tales from folklore and legend from around the world. As of writing there are 48 episodes that range from half an hour to a little over an hour so these are perfect for your commute to work or a short car journey and is a refreshing change to the average podcasts available. Mahnkes voice is both calming and engaging and instantly draws you in to the brilliantly researched and told story. There is an ambient soundtrack for every episode that fantastically adds layers to each story that compliement Aaron Mahnkes story telling style. There is a brand new episode every fortnight so it is easy to keep up with your listening and also gives you plenty of time to catch up with previous episodes.
The future is bright for this podcast as well as a television series with the same concept that will feature Mahnke, premiering on the Amazon TV network in 2017 that will be produced by Glen Morgan who was involved in the X-Files television series. I am incredibley excited to see how this concept will shift to a more visual medium.
There are many ways in which you can support this podcast. Simply subscribing and rating the podcast will help, however head over to the Lore website to read all about the podcast and writer as well as heading to the web store to buy merchandise such as tshirts, stickers and patches as well as autographed novels written by Aaron Mahnke that will help support the podcast. There is another way you can help to bad that is by supporting Lore through Patreon by making a donation of as little as $5 USD to get benefits such as extra episodes, ad free episodes and discount codes for the web store.
