Lazy Sunday Films Part 7

I am aware that it is neither a Sunday or a lazy day for most, however seen as it is a bank holiday Monday and some of you are fortunate enough to not be working I would post the latest installment of lazy Sunday films. This installment is about the spanish horror classic REC. Whilst I had heard a lot of good things about the original movie and its sequel (which you need to check out after watching the original) I had never gotten round to watching REC. This was mostly due to having a constant stream of new movies to watch. I was pleasently surprised at how strong the story was. This is not a regular horror movie where people die and there is a lot of blood shed like the majority of modern horror films such as SAW this film has a strong story and a fantastic set of characters. The story follows television reporter, Angela, as she produces a television series following different professions at night. This episode is to feature firemen, who are called to an emergency at an appartment building. Once there they soon realise that everything is not as it seems and their lives are in the balance. I cannot express how much I enjoyed this film in words. I would strongly suggest that every horror fan that has not seen REC does so and the sequel too. Check out the trailers below:
